1978 saw something like a new start of MISSUS BEASTLY. The band went into the studio in April with the lineup Friedemann Josch (sax, flute), Burkard Schmidl (keyboards), Jan Zelinka (drums) and Locko Richter (bass). The new album Space Guerilla (Schneeball 011) has become a good jazz rock effort, which is musically not so close to the former output anyhow.
Richter left the band in September and was substituted by Heinz Gembus, later followed by Micha Ehlers (guitar) from HIGH CRACK. At the beginning of 1979 Eveline Drechsler (bass), former OUT OF FOCUS, became a new member. Marlon Klein later went on with the band replacing Jan Zelinka.
Live performances are known from August 1978 in Vlotho. The band is featured on the sampler Umsonst und Draußen - Porta Westfvlothica 78 (D 1978 - MOL 0005/0006, 2LP) with the song 'Porta Erotica'. June 1979 saw a MISSUS BEASTLY gig on the Open Air Festival in Frankfurt documented with the song 'Gorleben ist überall' ('Rock gegen rechts' - D 1979 - RGR 1).
From now on no other sign of life is to find. If someone has addtional informations, has detected wrong statements or only wants to give his opinions - I would be delighted to receive your comments e-mail
At the instance of the 20th anniversary MISSUS BEASTLY gave one revival concert early 1988 featuring the original first line-up in Herford at the youth center 'Die 9'. Atzen Wehmeyer names himself ARTZEN and actually plays relaxed ethno rock with german lyrics.
1996 saw MISSUS BEASTLY participating at the Burg Herzberg Open Air Festival - unfortunately I know anything about that.
Some other (unconfirmed) band members: Matthias Krüger (bass)
